In July and August, the medieval site of the castle and its gardens form the setting for Peralada Castle Festival, an exceptional cultural event that is able to fascinate and move the general public year after year. It includes the major voices of the present times, with a varied programme that includes symphony concerts, operas, music and theatre performances, dance, jazz, etc. The event started in 1987 and is now one of the most prestigious in the world, surrounded by a great deal of glamour.
